The night was getting dark, as the sunset was already despairing down the yonder. Many of the creatures living in our garden where now departing to all their previewed homes; afraid of the dark clouds that where heading down south. I had never seen clouds so mad as these ones; they brought lightning, rain, lots of unexpected air, and as always disaster. The people of the village where screaming like hell! The grocery store just beside our dark blue, wooden house was fooled out with people in less than 10 minutes, and as a matter of fact was left empty in less than 30.
I was barely scattered by the amusing rain which was to fall tonight. “Why do people start to get so scared upon some pieces of rain,” I thought, “it does not look like a hurricane at all, so why worry?” It was at this time when all the unexpected started to become real. A huge tornado was forming in the south of the valley and all the cattle were starting to go wild. Pigs started to jump over each other, chickens where trying to fly west, but that was definitely not useful by the way.
At this time a huge tornado had hit the corn crops in the south. This was some how weird. It started with no trace of clouds or storm coming from the south, and yet it was really thick for some moments and then changed to be really thin. This tornado wander around the corn crops and stopped, like if it was a turn on/off switch some where, and some one had turned it of. I barley got to sea what was happening. It had just when through the crops in some kind of pattern, and then stopped. It went straight; it afterward turned about 20 times to the right and to the left, until it despaired with a sudden “BOOM!” A big black whole was left in the middle of all this mess.
-“O my god, what was all that noise, what is happening?” asked the people in the town with anger, fear, and shock.
I just tried my best to shut my mouth even though it was a bit hard, because I know by memory all the people in this town. At night it seamed that the storm had disappeared, and that it had been a very good sales day for Mr. John, the owner of the Grocery. “Lets just take some rest, yet this is no time to be wandering around the house.” I said to my cat, Lady. It seamed like if she had understand me as she jumped out of my hands and went our running up to the bed room., something that she had never done before. This act left me perplexed, and a knock on the door brought me back to life as I was thinking in the stars.
A weird looking human was standing right in front of me. Like if nothing had actually happen with the storm falling out side.
-“Hello there sir. I am demonstrating a matter of help in this time!” said the man with a weird face which did not have a clear nose and eyebrows.
-“May I certainly ask you who you are and where you’re from?” I said with all due respect.
-“My name is Jean Valjean, as if you would please give some housing and food to stay over the night. It would be fantastic, and if you don’t have any place even then I would gladly stay in the stable. I just need a place to sleep. Yes indeed I am an ex-convict, but that was before, I’m looking for my family, and starting to work, so please, I beg you be merciful.” Said the weird dusty and muddy face standing in front of my door. It looked to me that he was in great need, but without knowing if I could actually trust this man or not.
I decided to let him stay in my old room in the second floor, just beside my room. A place where I could have a check on him; in what he is doing and looking for.
After leading him to his room I made diner, and he came down. I felt pretty miserable after all his stories. All he had to do for his family, and his own personal interest. We stood there all night talking about his long journey looking for his sister, mean while all the people where yet scared about the thunder storm that happened earlier that morning.
-“Hey did you notice the tornado which ruined all of corn crops?” I asked.
-“Certainly, I saw it! I believe it was aliens who where trying to give us a sign!” he replied, but at that very moment we busted into a long laugh. “He was a good man” I thought, “doesn’t look like a convict to me.”
He stayed back at my place for a week or so, and yet I thought he was going to at least take something of my house but it wasn’t like that. He said he would come and visit me when he fined his family; and so it was that a week has gone by since Jean Valjean passed through my house looking for his sister.
